Panic Onboard: Boeing 737 Plummets 27,000 Feet!

In a dramatic mid-air incident, a Korean Air Boeing 737 Max 8 en route to Taiwan underwent a near-fatal mechanical failure, resulting in a dramatic descent. The aircraft, which took off from Incheon International Airport at approximately 4:45 p.m. on Saturday, encountered severe difficulties shortly into its flight.

As reported by Yonhap News Agency, the trouble began above South Korea’s Jeju Island when the aircraft’s pressurization system malfunctioned. This critical issue triggered a precipitous drop in altitude, with the plane descending approximately 26,900 feet, from an assumed cruising altitude of 40,000 feet down to 14,000 feet, in a mere 15 minutes. Flight Radar data highlighted these moments as particularly perilous for the 125 passengers aboard, as they experienced unexpected loops and sharp descents.
