The former head of the CDC’s immunization program has launched a public crusade against Robert F. Kennedy Jr. — but Senator Rand Paul just dropped a truth bomb that left him scrambling.
Meet Dr. Demetre Daskalakis. Once a rising figure inside the CDC, he abruptly walked away from his post after clashing with RFK Jr. on vaccine policy. Instead of quietly moving on, he’s been hitting the talk-show circuit to sound alarms and attack Kennedy at every turn.
In one fiery resignation letter, Daskalakis claimed politics had “undermined science” and insisted that Kennedy’s approach would “result in death and disability of vulnerable children and adults.” But instead of sounding like a level-headed physician, his remarks have come off as little more than political grandstanding.
