NYT: “No Evidence” Against Trump

In a development that undercuts months of breathless insinuations, The New York Times quietly acknowledged a reality conservatives have long pointed out: there is no evidence tying President Donald Trump to the criminal acts of disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein. While the paper went to great lengths to frame the story with dated imagery and recycled anecdotes, the central finding ultimately collapsed the narrative Democrats have pushed for months.

The report, authored by Times journalists Nicholas Confessore and Julie Tate, leaned heavily on interviews with “more than 30 former employees of Jeffrey Epstein, victims of his abuse and others who crossed paths with Mr. Epstein and President Trump.” The Times also cited what it described as “new documents” in an attempt to flesh out Trump’s supposed “relationship” with Epstein. Yet despite the dramatic framing, the evidence simply wasn’t there.

Much of the article rehashed decades-old photos and quotes from the 1990s—material that has circulated endlessly—to suggest proximity where proof is lacking. The paper even conceded that Epstein “had a talent for acquiring powerful friends,” a nod to the obvious reality that the predator sought status and access wherever he could find it. That context matters, especially when the Times then admitted the key point Democrats would rather ignore.
