“No Chance!” Comedian Wrecks Democrats’ 2024 Hopes

This arrogance, Schulz argued, has led to a massive trust deficit between the Democratic Party and the American people, particularly when it comes to institutions like the medical establishment. The COVID era revealed just how dismissive Democrats were of public concerns. Americans saw the so-called experts—including Dr. Fauci—feed them lie after lie, yet the Left demanded blind obedience. That approach, Schulz warned, is political suicide.

“They are disillusioned by the medical system, and if you don’t meet them there, you’re never going to win. Ever. And I feel like that’s, at least from talking to Trump, that was something that I got from him,” Schulz said.

Trump, Schulz noted, understands something that the Democrats do not: the power of listening. While the media paints Trump as brash and bombastic, Schulz described him as an “acute listener” who hones in on the emotions and concerns of the people.

“It doesn’t seem like it when you see him on the news and shit, but he’s like an acute listener. Like, he listens to what people are saying, and he listens, more importantly, [to] what they’re feeling, and he can tap into those feelings,” Schulz said. He went on to point out that successful two-term presidents like Barack Obama and Bill Clinton also had this skill, which is why they were able to connect with voters.

Rogan took the conversation further by praising Trump’s ability to embrace anti-establishment figures like Tulsi Gabbard and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., noting that Trump’s willingness to bring in outsiders proves he is attuned to what Americans actually care about.

Schulz agreed, saying Trump’s approach was simple but effective. He meets people where they are instead of forcing them into a top-down system of so-called expertise.

“But think about that decision, right? It’s like, those people are all echoing sentiments that the majority of Americans feel. We do not trust the food. Here’s the guy who says the food is bad. Maybe we should put him in control of the food,” Schulz said, referring to Kennedy’s outspoken criticism of food and drug safety.

By contrast, Schulz explained, Democrats insist on parading out the most credentialed bureaucrats they can find and then order Americans to shut up and obey. This condescending attitude, Schulz warned, is exactly why they keep losing touch with the electorate.

“Kind of like a simple thing. Instead of going, ‘Well, this guy is the food doctor and we’re going to hire the food doctor because he knows what food is good for you and you guys should just shut up and listen.’ And I feel like there’s a lot of this, like, top down on the Left,” Schulz said.

The comedian wrapped up his takedown of the Democrats with a blunt assessment: as long as they continue to treat voters as ignorant children, they will keep losing elections.

“It’s like, you can’t talk down to people. There’s this, like, Ivy League pretentiousness in the Democratic Party I feel where they’re like, ‘We know better and just, you must be stupid if you don’t agree with us.’ And it’s like, all right, well, I’m stupid,” Schulz said. “I’m dumb. I’m dumb then, so why doesn’t somebody meet me where I’m stupid and start at least making me feel like I’m not an asshole.”

Schulz’s remarks serve as a warning to Democrats: keep ignoring the people, and they’ll keep voting for Trump.
