The Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley agrees with the decision of a jury in New York City to award E. Jean Carroll $83 million in damages for defaming her former president Donald Trump.
Despite a dearth of proof, Caroll charges former President Trump of sexual assault in a civil trial that is surrounded by controversy. Trump may be sued for the claimed behavior even if there are no criminal charges or admission of guilt.

Significant Evidence Left Out: Important Testimonies Denied to the Trump Campaign
The jury has been denied access to vital evidence, casting severe doubt on the trial’s impartiality. One such item is an interview Carroll had with Anderson Cooper in which she made a contentious claim that sexual assault is “sexy.” Moreover, her story remarkably sounds like a Law and Order episode. Notably, she went so far as to offer a speculative scenario involving money and Trump. The integrity of the trial has been called into doubt due to the omission of these important information.
During Sunday’s episode of Meet the Press, Nikki Haley, a foe of Trump, responded by saying she believed the jury’s verdict. “I absolutely trust the jury and I think that they made their decision based on the evidence,” she said.
“I just don’t think that should take him off the ballot. I think the American people will take him off the ballot. I think that’s the best way to go forward is not let him play the victim, let him play the loser. I think the American people will take him off the ballot. I think that’s the best way to go forward is not let him play the victim, let him play the loser. That’s what we want him to do at the end of the day,” Haley continued.

The billionaire co-founder of LinkedIn Reid Hoffman was instrumental in providing funding for Carroll’s legal defense as well as the later defamation lawsuit brought against Trump. Hoffman not only made a significant financial contribution to Haley’s campaign, but he also stopped endorsing her when she lost in New Hampshire.
