In the wake of Brittany Mahomes’ social media activity, Donald Trump himself took notice. During an appearance on Fox & Friends after a recent Presidential debate, Trump was asked about Taylor Swift’s endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris. Without missing a beat, Trump turned the conversation to Brittany, offering her high praise while delivering a subtle jab at Swift.
“Well, I actually like Mrs. Mahomes much better, if you want to know the truth. She’s a big Trump fan,” Trump said, adding, “I was not a Taylor Swift fan. It was just a question of time.”
The former president didn’t stop there. Trump continued, heaping praise on both Brittany and Patrick Mahomes. “Brittany’s great. Brittany got a lot of news last week. She’s a big MAGA fan. That’s the one I like much better than Taylor Swift…the wife of the great quarterback — and he is a great quarterback. I think she’s terrific.”
While Brittany was unapologetic about her views, Patrick Mahomes was quickly drawn into the political conversation. During a press conference, Mahomes was asked if he would make a Presidential endorsement in light of Trump’s remarks about his wife.
Mahomes, however, chose to remain neutral, focusing on the importance of civic engagement rather than political endorsements. “I’ve always said, I don’t want my place and my platform to be used to endorse a candidate — either way,” Mahomes told reporters. “I think my place is to get people registered [to vote], do their research and make their best decision for them and their family. Every time I get asked these questions, I’m going to refer back to that because I think that’s what makes America so great.”
Mahomes emphasized that his focus remains on football and helping others make informed decisions when it comes to voting.

In a world where politics often seems divisive, Mahomes pointed to the diverse backgrounds of his teammates as a source of inspiration. “I think the best thing about a football locker room, and kind of how I grew up in baseball locker rooms, is that people can come together and achieve a common goal,” Mahomes said. “I think that if we can do that as a nation, I think we can get the best out of each other. I think that is something I do every single day.”
As the 2024 election looms, more celebrities and athletes are feeling the pressure to take a stand, particularly against Trump. However, a shift appears to be happening this time around, as some are choosing to remain neutral or even show support for the former president.
Patrick Mahomes, true to his character, has chosen to use his platform to promote unity and voter participation, leaving political endorsements to others. Whether that will change as the election nears remains to be seen, but for now, the Chiefs’ quarterback is staying focused on what he does best—leading his team to victory.

I always likes Mahomes, his a great QB and dad! I think his doing the right thing staying out of politics!
I heard that Brittany unliked the post that she had liked so she is weak after all and caved to pressure.
Kudos to Mahomes. But he still has no respect for our flag.
