NC Wipes Out 747K Ineligible Voters, 130K Dead!

In a sweeping action over the last 20 months, the North Carolina State Board of Elections (NCSBE) has removed 747,274 individuals from its voter registration list, including more than 130,000 deceased voters. The decision has stirred controversy and reignited discussions about the integrity of the voter rolls as the state approaches future elections.

According to a detailed report from the NCSBE, a significant number of the removals were due to changes in residency within the state. Specifically, 289,902 voters were removed because they moved and failed to update their registration information. Another 246,311 voters were purged after becoming inactive, a status triggered when they failed to participate in two consecutive federal elections.
