Democrats have often been accused of bending the truth, but the latest scandal involving Minnesota Governor Tim Walz could be the tipping point for many Americans. As details emerge, it seems the public may finally have found a lie they won’t tolerate.
On Wednesday, Army Lt. Col. Kristen Augé, the State Public Affairs Officer for the Minnesota National Guard, confirmed to Just the News that Governor Walz did not retire with the rank he has frequently claimed. Walz, who was announced as Vice President Kamala Harris’ running mate for the 2024 election, is now at the center of a “stolen valor” scandal that threatens to derail his political career.

According to Lt. Col. Augé, Walz “retired as a master sergeant in 2005 for benefit purposes because he did not complete additional coursework at the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy.” Despite this, a 2006 press release from Walz’s congressional campaign described him as “retired Command Sgt. Major Tim Walz,” a title that has since appeared in his gubernatorial biography as well.
