MTG Unveils Shocking New Amendment

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has proposed an amendment that would penalize drug traffickers who cross the southern border of the United States with the death sentence.

Tuesday, Greene tweeted: “300 Americans are murdered each day by fentanyl. It’s the leading killer of young people, 18-34, in America. Today, I introduced an amendment to H.R. 467 to give the death penalty to criminals who intentionally or knowingly import fentanyl across our Southern border.”

Republican legislators are pushing for harsher punishments to address the fentanyl issue. Greene has responded by submitting her amendment to assist their efforts.

Republicans suggest severe sanctions as a reaction to the deteriorating border issue. The death sentence and life in prison are proposed punishments for fentanyl traffickers and distributors, respectively.

Paul Gosar, a congressman from Arizona, sponsored the Death Penalty for Dealing Fentanyl Act of 2022, which is a startling proposal. The death penalty or a life sentence in jail are the proposed penalties for those who sell or distribute fentanyl.

“Instead of reducing prison sentences for drug offenders, it is long past time that those responsible for manufacturing or knowingly distributing fentanyl pay a heavy price,” Gosar said. “We must get tough on those criminals that are contributing to this drug crisis.”

“One of the many deeply troubling consequences of Joe Biden’s open border policies is the deadly flow of fentanyl across the southern border. Since Biden assumed office in January 2021, more than 1,000,000 pounds of illegal drugs have been seized, including 7,700 pounds of fentanyl in just the first five months of 2022. The overwhelming majority of fentanyl is smuggled across the border from Mexico,” At the time, he said.

In his news announcement, Gosar noted:

Since 1775, more Americans have perished from drug overdose in the last 23 years than from all war-related deaths combined.

Total number of U.S. deaths in World War 2: 406,000

Total number of U.S. deaths in the Korean War: 40,000

Total number of U.S. deaths in the Vietnam War: 58,000

Total number of U.S. deaths over 20 years in the War Against Terror (Iraq and Afghanistan, including contractors): 14,000

Total number of U.S. soldiers killed in battle in all conflicts since 1775: 651,000

Total number of drug poisoning deaths in the U.S. since 1999: 932,000

“Instead of reducing prison sentences for drug offenders, it is long past time that those who are responsible for manufacturing or knowingly distributing fentanyl pay a heavy price,” Gosar said.

The border crisis that former president Joe Biden instigated reached a terrible turn this week. An Afghan individual on the U.S. terrorism watch list was apprehended by authorities as he attempted to enter the country.

According to Fox News, an Afghan national who crossed the border into the country at Otay Mesa, California, with a group of migrants was recognized as a possible terrorist. During standard processing, including a fingerprint scan that prompted notice to the FBI, Border Patrol officials found the match. Now, an investigation is under progress.

Before the expiration of Title 42, the arrested person crossed the border. Due to COVID-19, policy permitted agents to refuse immigrants. The U.S.-Mexico border is being flooded with thousands of migrants. According to Fox News.

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), a Republican politician, asserts that Biden’s border policies, put in place on his first day in office, have drawn terrorists and led to a record-breaking surge in illegal immigration over the past two years. Issa’s representation of the area where an Afghan national was detained lends credence to his worries.

“Biden’s open borders aren’t just a gateway to five million illegals, record human and child trafficking and the deadliest drug crisis in our history,” Issa said. “Biden’s reckless policy is also an open invitation to even the most wanted terrorists in the world to come to America. They know they’ll never have to leave.

“The nation knows what’s going on, and this president has only begun to be held accountable for what he has done,” Issa added.

After the expiration of Title 42, the administration’s plan to swiftly process and release migrants is halted by a federal court.

  1. When they catch someone knowingly transporting fentanyl they should make them eat as much of it as they can on the spot and return them across the border ASAP.
