Rebecca Kiessling, a grieving mother who lost her two kids tragically to fentanyl overdose in 2020, was incensed by Vice President Biden’s laughing when he was accused of being to blame. This reply was labeled as “despicable” by her.

One distraught Michigan mother came up to tell her terrible experience before Congress as the horror of escalating fentanyl overdoses sweeps across America. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) said at this week’s meeting that if “the government secured the border,” lives may have been prevented. The concept was received with compassion and vehement opposition from those present.
Vice President Biden mocked a congresswoman while speaking at the House Democratic Caucus Issues Conference on Wednesday night, drawing wild applause from his party colleagues.
“I’ve read she was very specific recently saying that a mom, a poor mother who lost two kids to fentanyl, that I killed her sons. Well, the interesting thing: That fentanyl they took came during the last administration. Heh-heh,” the president remarked.
After the sorrow of losing her boys, Kiessling was shocked and incensed by Biden’s statements.
“This is how you speak about the death of my sons? Because a congresswoman misspoke? You mock the loss of my sons?” In the Facebook video, she yelled a demand.
“How dare you. What is the matter with you? Almost every Democrat on the committee offered condolences, they at least had the decency to do that. You can’t even do that? You have to mock my pain?” she raged.
The mother also made reference to an increase in fentanyl fatalities around the country since Biden assumed office. “My children died about six months before he became president. There have been failed policies by many administrations for far too long, ever since there was a surge in drug deaths due to fentanyl. This has been a problem for a long time.”
“[But] what about the 22% increase in fentanyl deaths since you became president? That represents tens of thousands of US citizens who died under your watch, an increase in tens of thousands. That represents double that number of the parents who are suffering,” She criticized the president for failing to address the fatal issue in her statement.
“You’re going to keep laughing? About those who did die under your watch? Do we have to bring them in so you can look them in the eyes and laugh? What is wrong with you? This is unacceptable. Our president needs to apologize to me, and he needs to be held accountable,” Kiessling demanded.
The White House’s quiet since she voiced her displeasure has been deafening. The Daily Mail has made many demands for an apology and a response, but this person has not yet responded, keeping them forever waiting.
Kiessling made an appearance on Fox News this week to discuss the growing fentanyl epidemic and make the claim that China is to blame for a significant portion of US deaths because of its development of chemical precursors that are trafficked by Mexican cartels. Many Americans are turning to China for the solution as they see their families suffer throughout America as a result of this terrible disease.
More so than what had been done for a “weather balloon” problem, Kiessling expressed great worry to Congress about the absence of adequate action taken against fentanyl.
“If we had Chinese troops lining up at our border with weapons aimed at our cities… you damned well know you’d do something about it. We had a weather balloon from China going across our country. Nobody died and everybody’s freaking out about it. But 110,000 die every year and nothing is being done. You talk about children being taken away from their parents. My children were taken away from me,” she asserted.
“This shouldn’t be politicized it’s not about race. Fentanyl doesn’t care about race. You are welcoming drug dealers across our borders and giving them protection, but not protecting our children,” Kiessling criticised Democrats, he claimed.
“@POTUS needs to apologize for this immediately. No person, let alone the president of the United States, laughs when speaking about a mother who lost two sons to fentanyl poisoning,” Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) tweeted.
The House Republican account used the phrase “DISGUSTING” to strongly condemn the most recent news.
“Biden just laughed while talking about a Mom whose kid was killed with Fentanyl. This is so incredibly inappropriate and vile,” Robby Starbuck, a conservative podcaster, pointed out.
Jake Schneider of the Republican National Committee also criticized Biden, “Truly the lowest bar possible for Biden — what a disgusting person. Losing children to fentanyl trafficking is never, ever funny. Just vile.”
