Minneapolis descended deeper into chaos Friday night after violent anti-ICE agitators openly confronted police officers and forced them out of a downtown area, effectively seizing control of the streets. Shocking video footage circulating online shows uniformed officers retreating under pressure from an aggressive mob, with even top leadership reportedly present during the withdrawal.

According to multiple eyewitness accounts and videos shared on social media, Minneapolis police officers were surrounded, harassed, and chased off by rioters who have been protesting federal immigration enforcement actions. The situation escalated so rapidly that officers were seen leaving the area entirely, allowing the crowd to take over with no immediate resistance.
The unrest follows the fatal shooting of Renee Nicole Good, described by authorities as a radical anti-ICE activist, who was killed during a confrontation with federal agents last week. Law enforcement officials say Good nearly struck an agent with her vehicle, prompting the deadly response. Since then, protests have intensified, morphing into open riots across parts of the city.
Independent journalist Nick Sortor, who was on the ground documenting the events, posted disturbing footage showing police vehicles pulling back as protesters surged forward. In the video, officers appear to make no attempt to hold their position as the crowd advances.
