Democrat Rep. Mikie Sherrill’s long-polished image as a Naval Academy graduate and patriotic Navy officer is unraveling fast.

A bombshell claim from one of her own classmates has reignited a 30-year-old cheating scandal — and the details could devastate her credibility heading into a razor-tight New Jersey governor’s race.
Classmate Says Sherrill Lied About Her Role
Brent Sadler, a 1994 Naval Academy graduate and senior research fellow at the Heritage Foundation, says Sherrill hasn’t told the full truth about her punishment stemming from the infamous cheating scandal that rocked their class.
“At some point in time, she lied, or she obscured the facts,” Sadler told Fox News Digital. “I would say lying, and that’s why she didn’t graduate or walk across the stage.”
Sherrill has long claimed she was merely punished for failing to report classmates who cheated on an electrical engineering exam. But Sadler says that story doesn’t line up with the disciplinary action she received.
