Mike Pence’s hopes of becoming president were dashed throughout his campaign by a single investigation.

The 37-count criminal charge by Special Counsel Jack Smith against former President Donald Trump for allegedly handling secret documents improperly has dominated political discussion.

Trump may spend their entire lives in prison if proven guilty of all counts.

Many Republican Primary hopefuls have stated how they would feel about forgiving Trump if they were to win the presidency.

Former Vice President Mike Pence recently appeared on the Clay and Buck Show and answered some challenging questions.

He was asked if, if elected president, he would consider pardoning his old employer.

“These are serious charges,” Pence said. “I can’t defend what’s been alleged, but the president does deserve to make his defense.”

NO WAY! The Shocking Truth About Trump Exposed

He said it would be premature to discuss a potential pardon for Trump at this time.

Clay Travis, the host, persisted in asking questions until he got a response.

“I think as a matter of principle, if you believe as both Buck and I do, that Donald Trump is being prosecuted to a large extent for political based reasons, something that has never happened in the 240-plus year history of the United States, that we are setting an awful precedent here,” Travis said.

Travis questioned the advantages of prosecuting Trump and contended that doing so went against his moral values.

“With all due respect, when you aren’t telling us what your decision would be, I think you’re dodging the question, and frankly, not stepping up on the front of leadership, which in the past you’ve been willing to do,” Travis continued. “To me, not answering is a no.”

An enraged Pence responded, “I don’t think you know what the president’s defense is, do you?”

Pence avoids discussing speculative scenarios and emphasizes the value of letting the judicial system take its course.

“What I’m hearing is you’re fine with Donald Trump being put in prison, sir,” Travis interjected. “That to me, since you were his vice president, feels pretty disrespectful.”

Vice President Pence voiced alarm at the Trump indictment after hearing the news, stating that no one is above the law.

He was forced to provide a clear response on the likelihood of forgiving his former boss, but he held firm to his stance.

Vice President Pence says he accepts that President Trump will be held accountable for the results of the ongoing Democratic Party probe.

The former vice president’s campaign has now been entirely ruined as a result of approving the political persecution of Trump, while being a long chance to win the GOP nomination.
