Republicans in Michigan just blew the lid off one of the most brazen examples of government waste the state has ever seen.
According to House Republicans, their review of the state’s bloated budget uncovered more than $5 billion in waste, fraud, and abuse, all hidden behind the creation of an astonishing 4,277 fake jobs.
These so-called positions don’t actually exist. Instead, they were used as a cover for Democrats in Lansing to funnel tax dollars into their pet projects and radical priorities instead of essential services.
Among the shocking revelations: taxpayer-funded gender surgeries for convicted criminals and millions in “arts and culture” grants funneled to shadowy organizations that can’t even be identified. This is how Democrats have been spending your hard-earned money.
