Mel Gibson, acclaimed actor and filmmaker, revealed that his Malibu home of nearly 15 years has been reduced to ashes in the inferno that continues to ravage Southern California.
The fires, fueled by intense winds and bone-dry conditions, have left a staggering trail of destruction. Over 10,000 structures have been destroyed, dozens of neighborhoods wiped out, and more than 300,000 residents forced to evacuate. Tragically, at least 10 lives have been lost in the chaos.

Despite his loss, the actor struck a tone of resilience. “I’m doing good. You know, it’s just a thing. But, you know, it is obviously kind of devastating. It’s emotional,” he said, reflecting on the years of memories now reduced to rubble. “You live there for a long time and you had all your stuff. You remember George Carlin talking about your stuff? I’ve been relieved from the burden of my stuff because it’s all in cinders.”
