“She wanted to distract from her email scandal. She cooked up a plan to accuse Trump of being a Russian agent in order to distract from her own legitimate scandal,” Kelly said on her show.
According to Kelly, the impact of Clinton’s actions went far beyond political theater. “She made up a scandal about Trump being a Russian asset, and they banked on the intel agencies working with her to perpetuate this lie. And it appears they were only too happy to assist.”
Real Lives, Real Consequences
While Clinton skated through scandal after scandal, others were not so lucky. Trump associates and staffers were put through years of legal torment, public humiliation, and in some cases, jail time. And now, with more pieces of the Durham investigation finally being declassified, those consequences look even more appalling in hindsight.
“There were real consequences for some of them who had their lives ruined and even went to jail,” Kelly noted.

John Durham, the special counsel appointed during the Trump administration, was tasked with digging into the origins of the Russia hoax and identifying the people and agencies responsible. His final report exposed a tangled web of collusion, media manipulation, and partisan targeting. But not everything from his investigation was initially made public.
That’s now changing.

“When you think about it, it is amazing that Hillary Clinton has suffered no real consequences for what she and her people put Trump, and the rest of the country, through for years,” Kelly remarked.
