Trent Staggs, the mayor of Riverton, told Breitbart News on Thursday that his city’s residents wouldn’t be subjected to any more mandates or company closures.
Although President Joe Biden declared the pandemic to be over earlier this year, current reports suggest that new regulations, notably those pertaining to masks, are soon to be implemented.

The site asserts that there has been an upsurge in hospitalizations, highlighting the need of mask use.

Dr. Jonathan Reiner, a cardiologist who has posted alarming COVID-related warnings on social media, was the subject of a CNN interview that had little impact.
Staggs reassures Riverton locals that their safety is a top concern in the event that the federal government oversteps its bounds, similar to what happened in 2020.
âIn 2020, when they decided to enforce business closures, social distancing, and masking, I directed our police not to enforce; if they bring it back, 100 percent I will once again hold the line,â he told Breitbart, the mayor.
He added, âIn Riverton, we believe in freedom and that people know better how to govern their lives than DC bureaucrats.â
Staggs tweeted before he spoke with the media, âIf covid restrictions do come back. Once again, I will not comply.â
A small city’s mayor is vehemently defending the right to personal freedom. Staggs’ early stance sends a strong message that is sure to gain momentum, despite the impact appearing to be minimal. The Biden White House will probably encounter fierce hostility if it tries to regulate the lives of people who value freedom.
Americans will always be able to dress as they like and make choices that put their interests first. The desires of those who disrespect their rights and sovereignty won’t be forced upon them.
