In an unexpected change of events, New York City Mayor Eric Adams has spoken out against the open border policies of the current Democrat president. According to Mayor Adams, these actions are having a negative impact on his city and its residents.
At a meeting of the African American Mayors Association in Washington, D.C., Adams spoke out against Biden’s ideas, shocking the political establishment.

“The city is being destroyed by the migrant crisis,” Adams made a clear assertion.
In just two years, Eric Adams has had a significant change in attitude, going from being an immigration advocate to becoming their harshest critic.

During the panel discussion, Adams continued, “And none of my folks came to Washington, D.C., to fight for the resources that’s going to weaken every organization in our community.
Despite creating a successful budget for his city, the mayor was eclipsed by a surge of refugees migrants. He hasn’t been able to get credit for his achievements as a result.
“If you removed the $4.2 billion dollars that have been dropped into my city because of a mismanaged asylum seeker issue, you [would have] probably witnessed one of the greatest fiscal turnarounds in the history of New York City,” he said.
It goes without saying that the situation engulfing New York City has gotten worse, as seen by the stunning $4.2 billion cut from the city’s budget and the nearly 90,000 asylum seekers who have already entered the country in the past year alone. In light of the fact that 34,800 of these people are currently sheltered in 104 emergency shelters and eight Humanitarian Emergency Response and Relief Centers (HERRCs), it is obvious that prompt action is required to address this growing crisis before more harm is done.
Adams is not the first to criticize Joe Biden’s handling of the immigration situation, which is a surprising move.
Adams criticized Biden’s border policies a few days prior to the panel and charged that the president had abandoned New York City and caused “one of the largest humanitarian crises this city has ever experienced.”
“The national government has turned its back on New York City,” Adams exclaimed, according to the New York Post. “Every service in this city is going to be impacted by the asylum seeker crisis.”
“New York City has spent $817 million to address the migrant crisis between July 2022 and March, according to the Office of Budget and Management. Estimates show the city will spend $4.2 billion on costs related to the migrant crisis from June 2023 through the end of fiscal year 2024,” Breitbart News reported.
