Matt Gaetz, the firebrand conservative and former representative from Florida, has announced his next career move—a hosting gig on the One America News Network (OAN). The move was confirmed by Gaetz’s wife, Ginger Gaetz, who shared the exciting news on X (formerly Twitter). The show, titled The Matt Gaetz Show, is set to premiere in January, according to OAN’s website, which now features a “coming soon” teaser for the program.
Ginger Gaetz hinted at the development earlier with a cryptic social media post on Sunday, declaring that “big news” was on the horizon. The post was accompanied by a photo of Matt Gaetz, fueling speculation about his next steps since stepping away from public office.

This new role at OAN comes in the wake of Gaetz’s resignation from Congress, a move that surprised many within the Republican Party. Gaetz also withdrew his name from consideration for attorney general in the incoming Trump administration, citing distractions caused by allegations against him. “Calls for the House Ethics Committee to share a report on its investigation into Gaetz were an ‘unfair distraction’ that caused him to withdraw his nomination,” Newsweek reported.
