Texas Governor Greg Abbott is following a long-term plan to combat illegal immigration at the southern border, departing from band-aid solutions dependent on election results, such as the probable reelection of Donald Trump in 2024.
Given the unpredictability of politics, Abbott cannot afford to be complacent. Acting decisively in light of the circumstances at hand and expecting nothing more than the status quo, he must act now.

Texas is seeing a surge in immigration as the country is dealing with overflow problems as a result of border regulations implemented by the Biden administration. This immigration helps Democrats, who may see an increase in their support base. This encourages unrestricted immigration to continue.
Abbott is up against calculated obstacles that put stress on Texas law enforcement and the National Guard he sent in to handle the situation. In order to improve the comfort of soldiers on the front lines, Abbott is creating support centers while fighting on two fronts: the border and Washington, D.C.
According to The Texas Tribune, the new installation, which occupies 80 acres in Eagle Pass, Texas, may house up to 2,300 National Guard members who are on deployment.
Most people agree that the busiest border area in Texas is the town of Eagle Pass in Texas.
Record numbers of migrants are pouring across the borders. In only five days, the border patrol processed 50,000 migrants, according to a December CBS News investigation.
This is on top of the approximately 1,500 migrants that are processed daily via formal border crossings using the official app as part of the Biden program.
It’s a bad scenario. The purpose of the new military installation is to ease the burden on the troops who are mandated to be present as part of Operation Lone Star. The $10 billion initiative, which was introduced in March 2021, now needs more funds in order to provide a long-term, habitable environment in which the National Guard can efficiently man the front lines. What level of funding? Abbott has not yet disclosed, the Texas Tribune claims.
Abbott will definitely prioritize the expense because of his unwavering determination and belief that it is an investment that is required to avert possible harm to the country.

Abbott is not placing a wager on any changes. The danger to our country is too high, especially considering that, since the Biden administration began, the US has already taken in around 8.9 million illegal immigrants. To put things in perspective, under the Biden immigration law, more illegal immigrants have entered the country than live in Arizona combined with the populations of 38 other states.
