Maricopa Can’t Explain the Late-Night Flash Drives

Election integrity is back in the spotlight in Arizona after surveillance footage reportedly captured two Maricopa County election employees accessing sensitive computer equipment late at night, just days after the county completed its official voting-machine accuracy tests.

The footage, obtained by the election watchdog organization We the People Alliance, appears to show workers connecting external storage devices to computers inside the county’s secure election facility on October 7.

County officials insist the employees were carrying out authorized duties. But election watchdogs argue that the explanation leaves important questions unanswered about what was being done, why it required a late-night visit, and whether proper security procedures were followed.
