President Donald J. Trump launched the official kickoff to America’s 250th birthday on Thursday with a thunderous rally in Des Moines, Iowa, using the patriotic backdrop to celebrate the passage of his signature “Big Beautiful Bill” and deliver a fiery message of freedom.
Thousands packed the Iowa State Fairgrounds, waving flags and chanting “USA” as Trump took the stage in an atmosphere more reminiscent of a rock concert than a political event. Legendary country singer Lee Greenwood performed “God Bless The USA,” the president’s trademark anthem, setting off roaring applause from the energized crowd.
