The facility, which Trump christened “Alligator Alcatraz,” was thrown up in a staggering eight days and sits surrounded by marshes crawling with alligators. It’s precisely the sort of “no-nonsense” solution Trump promised on the campaign trail.
“It’s known as ‘Alligator Alcatraz,’ which is very appropriate because I looked outside, and that’s not a place I want to go hiking anytime soon,” Trump joked while touring the site. “Pretty soon, this facility will handle the most menacing migrants, some of the most vicious people on the planet.”
