Lindsay Clancy Jury Deadlocks — Judge Sends Them Back

The jury weighing the fate of Lindsay Clancy told the judge Tuesday morning that it had been unable to reach a unanimous verdict, raising the possibility of a prolonged deliberation in the closely watched Massachusetts murder case.

The development came as jurors entered their fourth day of deliberations in the trial, which has attracted intense public attention because of the circumstances surrounding the deaths of Clancy’s three young children.

Fox News reported Tuesday morning that jurors sent a note to the judge indicating they could not agree on a unanimous decision. Rather than immediately declaring a mistrial, the judge instructed the panel to return to its deliberations and continue reviewing the evidence presented during the trial.
