ICE Director Todd Lyons told Fox News the Manhattan operation was aimed at serious offenders.
Agents targeted individuals involved in “forgery, possession of drugs, drug trafficking, robbery, assault.”
This wasn’t some random sweep.
Federal officers arrested nine illegal aliens with criminal records tied to counterfeit goods and organized crime in the area.
Yet instead of backing law enforcement, Letitia James decided to turn them into targets.
By encouraging citizens to “report” ICE activity, James is treating law enforcement as the enemy — while those breaking U.S. laws get a free pass.
It turns out James isn’t the only Democrat going after ICE.
Just two days before her portal launch, Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA) proudly announced that House Democrats were working on a new “master ICE tracker.”
Standing beside Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, Garcia declared, “Over the course of the next couple of weeks, the Oversight Committee will be launching on their website a master ICE tracker. We will be essentially tracking every single instance that we can verify.”
That’s not “oversight.”
That’s a digital hit list for federal agents.
Attorney General Pam Bondi quickly called out Garcia and Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) for their reckless behavior.
“Shutdown Democrats are already refusing to pay our law enforcement agents,” Bondi posted on X. “Now, @RepRobertGarcia and @SenBlumenthal are trying to put ICE agents at risk just for doing their jobs.”
She added, “@TheJusticeDept has ZERO tolerance for violence against law enforcement — we will prosecute any person who physically assaults our agents.”
Republicans immediately slammed the Democrats’ dangerous stunt.
Rep. James Comer (R-KY) said the Left has become “completely unhinged.”
And Rep. Bryan Steil (R-WI) made it clear the GOP-led House won’t allow it: “The House of Representatives absolutely will not maintain a website that tracks or doxes ICE agents.”
This is not the first time radical activists and leftist politicians have targeted ICE.
Earlier this year, an account called “LA Scanner” on X posted live updates revealing ICE locations in Los Angeles — exposing agents to serious risk.
When conservatives identified the person behind it, Texas resident Jack Quillin, he deleted his account.
Another activist even developed an app called ICEBlock, designed to let users report sightings of ICE agents anonymously.
The app went viral — until Apple and Google removed it from their stores after law enforcement officials raised safety concerns.
Before that, a gunman who attacked an ICE facility in Dallas had reportedly searched for apps that track ICE agents.
Even worse, reports from the Department of Homeland Security indicate that Mexican cartels have been offering bounties for information on ICE officers — and in some cases, even for assaults or assassinations.
Hackers have also breached federal systems, leaking the personal data of hundreds of DHS and DOJ employees.
Letitia James and Robert Garcia are giving legitimacy to these extremist tactics — now under the official stamp of government approval.
Instead of standing with those defending our borders, Democrats are siding with open-border radicals and criminal networks.
President Trump once made it clear: ICE exists to protect American citizens from dangerous criminals crossing our borders.
But today’s Democrat leaders are working overtime to protect the criminals — and target the agents who stop them.
This isn’t oversight.
It’s sabotage.
And every American should be asking:
Why are Democrats so intent on protecting illegal aliens instead of protecting the people who defend this country?
