At the center of the firestorm is a partnership between President Donald Trump and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who just rolled out a groundbreaking proposal that’s sending shockwaves through the immigration fight.
A Plan Like No Other
In a bold maneuver, DeSantis has submitted a proposal for federal approval that would allow Florida’s National Guard Judge Advocate General (JAG) officers to serve as immigration judges. The governor declared:
“We’re ready, willing and able to take it to the next level. We have submitted plans to DHS to say if this is approved, we will go off to the races.”
