LeGate, known for his vocal opposition to conservative figures, mistakenly criticized a photo of a small crowd at a rally, thinking it was one of former President Donald Trump’s events. However, the crowd in question was actually from a Kamala Harris event, and the error quickly spiraled into an embarrassing moment for LeGate.
LeGate’s original tweet, which he has since deleted, boldly claimed that Trump had “ordered” his team to cover up thousands of empty seats with black cloth to avoid showing the sparse attendance at his rally. The post read: “Trump has ‘ordered’ his team to literally cover up entire levels of venues he’s unable to fill with black cloths – to make it appear as if there aren’t thousands of empty seats.”

The issue with this claim was that the image LeGate used to support his accusation wasn’t from a Trump rally at all. It was, in fact, taken from a Kamala Harris event, where the Vice President spoke to a noticeably small crowd. The response was swift, and the backlash forced LeGate to remove the tweet in an attempt to dodge further embarrassment.
