Los Angeles County leaders just made one thing clear: their loyalty isn’t to the rule of law — it’s to shielding criminal illegal aliens from deportation.

In a stunning move Tuesday, the far-left Board of Supervisors voted 4-1 to declare an “emergency” in response to ICE raids ordered under President Trump’s renewed crackdown on criminal illegal immigrants across Southern California. Their decision is nothing short of political theater, weaponizing “emergency powers” to fight federal law enforcement rather than violent offenders.
Turning Emergency Powers Into Political Weapons
Instead of working with ICE agents trying to remove dangerous felons, the Board is funneling taxpayer money into “relief efforts” designed to help illegal immigrants avoid arrest. The resolution opens the door for taxpayer-funded legal defense, state grants, and even an eviction moratorium under the guise of combating “fear” in immigrant communities.
Their justification? The Board claims that federal enforcement “created a climate of fear” and caused “widespread disruption.” Translation: they’re angry ICE is finally enforcing immigration law.
