A Kentucky woman says she lost her job after daring to expose a brazen driver’s license scam that she claims helped hundreds — possibly thousands — of illegal immigrants bypass the law.
Melissa Moorman had been working for more than two years at Louisville’s Nia Center Licensing Branch through Quantum Solutions, a staffing agency contracted by the state. She says everything changed after she told investigators the truth about what she witnessed: employees allegedly selling licenses to illegal aliens for $200 apiece.
According to Moorman, this wasn’t some one-time incident. It happened “between four and five times a day” and had been going on for at least two years — not just in Louisville, but in multiple licensing offices across Kentucky.
Moorman says she only went public after being approached by two coworkers who invited her to join their scheme. The deal was simple — get illegal immigrants driver’s licenses or permits without testing, in exchange for cash. She refused.
