Controversial commentator Keith Olbermann has sparked outrage again, this time for his incendiary remarks about conservatives affected by the devastating California wildfires. Known for his polarizing opinions, the former CNN and ESPN correspondent stirred the pot on Wednesday with a post on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, claiming conservatives impacted by the disaster are not “human.”
The Fallout from Olbermann’s Words
Olbermann’s remarks came as a response to Angela Belcamino, host of “Last Week on X,” who had highlighted a shocking post by University of Missouri Professor Karen Piper. Piper’s now-viral comment celebrated actor James Woods losing his home to the fires. While Belcamino condemned Piper’s behavior with a call to “Be better,” Olbermann took an entirely different approach. Instead of denouncing such heartlessness, he doubled down, taking aim at conservatives in a way that many have found appalling.

“This is the attitude that lost the election,” Olbermann wrote. “They [conservatives] will not compromise they will not convert they will not be human. They must be defeated – and any chance to bruise or batter them psychologically must be exploited.”
