California Democrats are in meltdown mode after President Donald Trump announced new immigration enforcement operations in San Francisco—one of America’s most notorious sanctuary cities. For years, San Francisco’s far-left policies have protected illegal immigrants while crime and homelessness exploded.
Now, with Trump cracking down on illegal immigration and restoring order, the state’s Democrat leaders are furious. Pelosi, desperate to defend her sanctuary city, is going to extraordinary lengths to stop federal agents from doing their jobs.
On Wednesday, Pelosi and California Democrat Rep. Kevin Mullin released a joint statement condemning the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids, calling them an “appalling abuse of law enforcement power.”
So, enforcing immigration laws is now “abuse of power”? That’s Pelosi logic.
But the real bombshell came next. Pelosi actually claimed that “state and local authorities may arrest federal agents if they break California law.” She even boasted that President Trump wouldn’t be able to pardon them if convicted.
