Control of the US Senate will be determined in large part by the Arizona Senate election.
Senator Kyrsten Sinema is running for re-election, while Congressman Ruben Gallego is the presumed Democratic nominee.
What remains to be determined is who the GOP will nominate.
Kari Lake defeated well-known Establishment RINO Karin Taylor Robson in the governor’s primary.
Robson supported in-state tuition for undocumented immigrants, supported selective abortions based on sex, and supported the Black Lives Matter movement.
Within the establishment, there was optimism that Robson would run for the Senate in 2024.

Robson, however, opted not to take part in the competition.
“Arizona voters will help determine control of the U.S. Senate in 2024, and it has been humbling to hear from Arizonans around this state who have urged me to enter this race,” a statement from Robson stated. “However, while I may seek other opportunities to serve our state via elective office in the future, now is not the time.”
“Arizona is my birthplace and my home, and will always be in my heart. While I have been blessed this year to spend extra time with my family and renew focus on my work, I will continue to be engaged with efforts to identify and elect strong conservatives to serve Arizona at all levels of government – particularly in the state Legislature where Republicans hold a narrow majority,” Robson added.
Kari Lake is getting more and more serious about running for the Senate.
In the case of a Primary, Lake would be a dangerous rival.
Contrary to the establishment’s false statements, Lake offers a strong chance to win in a general election.
In a three-way contest with Sinema and Gallego, a recent poll by the National Republican Senatorial Campaign Committee puts Lake in the lead. Additionally, Lake defeats Gallego head-to-head to win the match.
The outcome of the Arizona Senate election might have a big impact on the majority leadership position since Chuck Schumer would lose if the Republicans prevail.
The polling statistics indicate that Kari Lake has a good chance of accomplishing her objective.
