Clark Hunt walks away from Arrowhead for taxpayer billions
On Monday, Chiefs owner Clark Hunt officially announced the team will abandon Arrowhead Stadium after more than five decades to construct a new three billion dollar domed stadium across the state line in Kansas.
Kansas lawmakers unanimously approved a massive STAR bond package that will cover roughly seventy percent of the project. That amounts to about 2.4 billion dollars in taxpayer funding.
