In a revealing interview with CNN’s Dana Bash, Harris stated that she was “the last person in the room” with President Biden as he weighed the pros and cons of the withdrawal. “President Biden always said that he wants you to be the last person in the room, particularly for big decisions just as he was,” Bash remarked, pressing Harris on her role in the decision-making process. Harris confirmed, “Yes … Yes, I do,” when asked if she was “comfortable” with the decision.
