“Look at the World today — Look at the missiles flying right now in the Middle East, look at what’s happening with Russia/Ukraine, look at Inflation destroying the World. NONE OF THIS HAPPENED WHILE I WAS PRESIDENT!” Trump wrote, expressing his frustration with what he sees as a complete collapse of U.S. foreign policy under Biden and Harris.
Trump expanded on this message at a recent rally in Wisconsin, where he warned that America was sleepwalking toward World War III, largely because of what he described as the incompetence of the current administration. He singled out Harris, claiming that her lack of leadership and refusal to take decisive action was putting the entire world at risk.
“The two incompetent people running our country — and I don’t think they’re even running it — are leading us to the brink of World War III, a war like no other,” Trump stated, accusing the administration of failing to recognize the severity of the crises.
Beyond the immediate crisis in the Middle East, Trump raised a broader concern: Who is actually in charge of the U.S. government right now?
Since President Joe Biden dropped out of the 2024 presidential race in June, following concerns about his mental fitness, there has been widespread uncertainty about the chain of command in the White House. Under the 25th Amendment, Harris should theoretically have the authority to take over, but according to Trump, she hasn’t taken any meaningful action to assert her position.
Instead of stepping up to handle the crisis, Harris has been focused on fundraising and photo ops, according to Trump, who lambasted her priorities.
“We have a non-existent President and our Vice President, who should be in charge, is going to fundraisers in San Francisco and staging fake photo ops using phones that are not even connected. No one is in charge and it’s not even clear who is more confused: Biden or Kamala,” Trump added.
Trump’s criticism also highlighted a potential constitutional crisis. If Harris isn’t willing to invoke the 25th Amendment and take charge, then who is making decisions in the White House?
“The world right now is spiraling out of control. A short time ago, Iran launched over 200 ballistic missiles at Israel and we are closer than ever to global catastrophe,” Trump warned.
Many Republicans have long feared this scenario. During the 2020 election, critics of Biden repeatedly raised concerns about his cognitive abilities, questioning whether he was fit to serve as president. Now, with Biden stepping back from the race and Harris seemingly unwilling to take the reins, those concerns have intensified.

Trump’s remarks also pointed to what he views as a failure of the mainstream media to hold Harris accountable for the current state of affairs.
Kamala Harris should be answering tough questions about why she hasn’t taken action, whether she believes Biden is still mentally competent to lead, and what her plans are to deal with the growing number of global crises. Yet, as Trump pointed out, the media has remained largely silent.
“A functioning media whose primary interest was conveying the truth to the American people would be on top of this story,” Trump asserted.
In a time of unprecedented global tension, with wars breaking out and economies in peril, Americans are looking for leadership. According to Trump, the Biden-Harris administration has left the nation rudderless — and the consequences may be catastrophic.
