Doug Emhoff, the husband of Vice President Kamala Harris, recently voiced strong concerns about former President Donald Trump, accusing him of promoting antisemitic rhetoric and putting Jewish Americans in harm’s way. During an interview on MSNBC with host Jen Psaki, Emhoff didn’t hold back as he condemned Trump’s repeated use of antisemitic tropes, warning that such language could have severe consequences for Jewish communities across the country.
Emhoff, who is Jewish, has been outspoken in his fight against antisemitism and continues to speak out against bigotry in all forms. He highlighted an event from earlier this month where Trump, while purporting to fight antisemitism, allegedly made offensive statements that perpetuated dangerous stereotypes. “What really bothered me a week or so ago was when Trump got up at an event purporting to fight anti-Semitism and he said vile anti-Semitic things, long tropes that are just terrible,” Emhoff told Psaki during the interview. “We have to speak out every single time when something like that happens.”

Emhoff emphasized that he refuses to be intimidated or live in fear, choosing instead to live proudly as a Jewish man. His words reflected a broader sentiment shared by many Jewish Americans, who have grown increasingly concerned about the rise of antisemitic incidents and rhetoric in recent years.
