Vice President Kamala Harris has once again found herself in the hot seat, this time during what was supposed to be a relatively easy interview on The View. Harris joined the hosts in New York City to discuss her campaign, but the conversation quickly took a turn that could prove problematic for her and the Biden administration. The vice president, already struggling to maintain her political footing, handed former President Donald Trump a major advantage with her response to a critical question.
Harris, who was appearing on live television for the first time since becoming the Democratic presidential nominee, seemed unprepared when co-host Sunny Hostin dared to ask a question that veered into real journalism territory. Hostin pressed Harris on whether there was anything she would have done differently during Biden’s presidency.

The vice president had options. She could have played it safe by suggesting she might have approached immigration or corporate regulation more aggressively or made reproductive rights a central issue. Instead, Harris chose to double down on her loyalty to President Biden, a move that could haunt her campaign as she heads into 2024.
