Despite the interruption, Harris maintained her composure, clapping along with the audience and remarking, “That’s why we fight for democracy… Every voice is important.” Shortly after, security removed the protester from the building, but the moment left a lasting impression on those present. This incident echoes a broader pattern of Harris’s interactions with religious communities, where her messages often receive backlash from attendees unwilling to buy into her narrative.

This confrontation follows an earlier instance this month in La Crosse, Wisconsin, where Harris and her supporters openly mocked a Christian protester during a rally. As Harris was delivering a speech focused on abortion rights, a man named Luke Polaske interrupted by proclaiming, “Jesus is Lord.” Instead of engaging respectfully, Harris sarcastically responded, “I think you’re at the wrong rally,” prompting laughter and cheers from the crowd. She even added, “Try the smaller one down the street,” in a tone that many found condescending.

Polaske later shared his experience during an interview with Fox News, expressing his deep conviction in his faith. “I yelled out to the crowd that abortion is the sacrament of Satan,” Polaske said. “And about 10 seconds go by, and that’s when the video of my friend Grant and I proclaiming that Christ is Lord and Jesus is King.” He further recounted the hostility he and his friend faced, stating they were shoved, shouted at, and ultimately asked to leave the rally. According to Polaske, Harris waved at him mockingly as security escorted them out, giving him what he described as an “evil smirk.”

Harris’s frequent clashes with Christian protesters have drawn widespread criticism, particularly from religious leaders. Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò, a prominent figure in the Catholic Church, issued a stark warning to American Catholics about the moral implications of supporting Harris. In an open letter, Viganò labeled her an “infernal monster who obeys Satan,” urging believers to re-elect President Donald Trump as a moral necessity.

“Voting for Donald Trump means firmly distancing ourselves from an anti-Catholic, anti-Christian, and anti-human vision of society,” Viganò wrote. “For a Catholic, there can be no question: voting for Kamala Harris is morally inadmissible and constitutes a very serious sin.”

As the election approaches, these encounters highlight the tension between religious communities and the Democratic Party’s stance on key moral issues like abortion. Harris’s attempt to fuse faith with her political platform continues to spark controversy, leaving many Americans divided over the values that should guide the nation’s future. Whether these confrontations will influence voters at the polls remains to be seen, but one thing is clear: Harris’s religious rhetoric is far from universally accepted.
