Deadly Attack at Pennsylvania Rally

The first attempt on Trump’s life occurred on July 13, 2024, during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Gunfire erupted when 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks opened fire from a rooftop near the event. The attack left Trump injured, two supporters wounded, and retired firefighter Corey Comperatore dead after he heroically shielded his daughters from the bullets.

Secret Service snapped a photo of Crooks as he lurked around the rally grounds. He was seen as a “person of interest.”

Despite prior warnings and suspicious behavior noted by law enforcement, Crooks managed to access the unsecured rooftop. A Secret Service counter-sniper even photographed him before the shooting, yet no immediate action was taken. Reports indicate that security officials chose not to station agents on the rooftop due to the heat, leaving an open vantage point for the gunman.

Crooks had ample time to assemble his weapon, move across the roof undetected, and fire multiple rounds before being neutralized by a counter-sniper. The security lapse has raised serious concerns, with many questioning the Secret Service’s handling of the situation.

Florida Golf Course Incident

Just two months later, a second assassination attempt unfolded as Trump was playing golf at one of his courses in West Palm Beach, Florida.

The alleged assailant, 59-year-old Ryan Routh, had positioned himself in a sniper’s nest along the golf course’s perimeter, armed with a scoped rifle. A Secret Service agent identified the threat and opened fire, prompting Routh to flee. He was later apprehended in Martin County.

Investigators later discovered that Routh had traveled to Ukraine months before the attack, raising speculation about potential foreign influence. He now faces multiple state and federal charges that could put him behind bars for life.

Trump Demands Answers

Following these incidents, Trump has made it clear that he will not accept further secrecy regarding the details of these assassination attempts. The former president’s demand for information underscores growing concerns over security failures and possible political interference in the handling of these cases.
