These revelations, stemming from an ongoing inquiry into Hunter Biden’s business transactions, point to a potential involvement of Joe Biden in his son’s international business affairs, contradicting his earlier statements.
Text messages unveiled by IRS whistleblowers Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler indicate a planned meeting between Joe Biden and Yadong Liu, CEO of CEFC Global Strategic Holdings. The texts date back to December 12, 2017, with Hunter Biden texting Liu about arranging a meeting in New York. The message reads, “Can you meet this evening early,” adding that his father would also be in New York for a Sandy Hook memorial service and expressed a desire for Liu to meet both him and his uncle.

In a follow-up message, Hunter Biden apologizes for the sudden notice, explaining his travel fatigue and a nap before relaying his father’s message. He wrote, “I’m sorry for the late notice I got off the red eye in Baltimore from LA and take a little nap before I got his message.” Liu responded accommodatingly, seeking details on the time and place for the meeting.
