On Monday night, the Trump DOJ formally notified Judge James Boasberg that it would no longer comply with his orders demanding information on deportation operations involving Venezuelan criminal aliens. The announcement came in response to Boasberg’s ongoing scrutiny of President Trump’s use of the Alien Enemies Act to remove violent foreign nationals from U.S. soil.

“The Executive Branch hereby notifies the Court that no further information will be provided in response to the Court’s March 18, 2025 Minute Order based on the state secrets privilege and the concurrently filed declarations of the Secretary of State and the Secretary of Homeland Security,” the DOJ said in its Monday night filing.
