The Trump administration’s Justice Department has pushed back against a radical judge’s last-minute order forcing U.S. planes carrying deported Venezuelan criminals to turn around mid-flight and return to American soil. The order, issued by Judge James Boasberg, an Obama-appointed activist judge, has sparked outrage as it shields dangerous illegal aliens from removal under the Alien Enemies Act.
On Saturday, Boasberg granted a temporary restraining order (TRO) to block the Trump administration from deporting thousands of Venezuelan nationals, including members of the notorious Tren de Aragua gang. Left-wing organizations, including the ACLU and Democracy Forward, rushed to a Washington, D.C. court to halt the deportations, once again prioritizing illegal aliens over American safety.

Boasberg’s TRO stalled deportations for 14 days, but just hours later, he doubled down with an emergency injunction. The judge ordered the Trump administration to immediately recall planes that were already in the air, carrying convicted criminals and gang members back to Central and South America.
