Farmers across America are watching the price of tractors and farm equipment explode, and the consequences reach far beyond the fields. Higher equipment costs ripple through the economy, driving up food prices and squeezing working families at the grocery store.

President Donald Trump has made it clear he believes government regulation is a major culprit. He has vowed to slash environmental mandates that he says are burying farmers under unnecessary costs and making American equipment weaker, more complex, and far more expensive than it used to be.
But this week, John Deere’s top financial executive sent a very different message.
And farmers were not happy to hear it.
Trump Blames Regulations for Skyrocketing Tractor Prices
Trump recently announced plans to roll back environmental restrictions on farm equipment manufacturers. He argued that modern tractors are overloaded with emissions systems and electronic components that do little except drive up prices and reduce reliability.
