Former National Counterterrorism Center Director Joe Kent spoke out on Wednesday in a wide-ranging interview with Tucker Carlson, raising serious questions about the official stories surrounding the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk and the foiled attempt on President Trump at a 2024 rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
This marked Kent’s first public interview since leaving the Trump Administration. In his conversation with Carlson, he shared a behind-the-scenes look at his time as a top intelligence official, including his experiences dealing with Iran, Israel’s influence on U.S. policy, and other national security issues.
Kent is also slated for a discussion with Mark Levin, despite the two men holding opposing viewpoints and clashing publicly with Tucker over the last several months.
During the Carlson interview, Kent detailed what he knew about the would-be Trump assassin, Thomas Matthew Crooks, as well as Tyler Robinson, who killed Charlie Kirk, highlighting the obstacles he faced while attempting to investigate these incidents at the NCTC.
