What began as online criticism quickly turned into personal insults, public challenges, and claims of misconduct at private afterparties and memorial events.
Late-Night Challenge Outside Washington Hotel
In the early hours of Sunday morning, Tracey took to X with a direct and provocative message aimed at Acosta, escalating tensions between the two journalists.
“Still have no idea whatever went on with Trump tonight, just know Jim [Acosta] threw a fuckin’ hissing fit. Pussy! Jim, meet me in front of the Hampton Inn,” Tracey posted on X at 1:01 a.m. ET Sunday, adding in a follow-up post just six minutes later, “Jim, I’m literally waiting for you right now, you piece of shit.”
The posts followed earlier allegations exchanged between the two, with Tracey claiming Acosta had previously “threatened to fight” him during a Substack-related afterparty connected to the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
