An anti-ICE extremist unleashed chaos outside a federal building in Lower Manhattan on Monday morning, setting off a frightening chain of events that left multiple people injured and reignited debate over political violence targeting federal law enforcement.
But by Monday evening, the focus on one major cable news network had shifted away from the suspect’s actions and toward questioning whether Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) had somehow provoked the attack.
That line of questioning quickly collapsed after CNN contributor Scott Jennings delivered a blunt response that left the panel with little room to argue.
