Texas Democrat Rep. Jasmine Crockett seems to think she’s cracked the code on why Donald Trump’s popularity is surging. And her answer? The American people just aren’t educated enough.
During an appearance on The View on Wednesday, Crockett was asked by co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin why Trump’s policies continue to resonate with voters. Griffin pointed out that Trump’s approval rating had hit 53%, higher than ever before, with 70% of voters believing he is keeping his promises. She also noted that nearly half of Americans think Democrats should shift toward a more moderate stance.

Crockett’s response? She dismissed Trump’s support as a result of widespread ignorance.
“My takeaway is just like the election. We’ve got to do better at education. People don’t understand,” Crockett claimed.
