Ohio Senator and Donald Trump’s running mate J.D. Vance took aim at former Congresswoman Liz Cheney this week, following her surprising endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris. Speaking at a Turning Point USA event in Arizona, Vance didn’t mince words as he criticized Cheney’s record, suggesting that her family profited from foreign wars at the expense of American lives.
Vance responded to a question posed by Turning Point USA CEO Charlie Kirk, who brought up Cheney’s recent endorsement of Harris, a Democratic stalwart and Trump’s expected opponent in the upcoming 2024 election. Vance’s remarks quickly turned into a scathing indictment of Cheney’s career and her role in what he described as reckless military interventions.

“Kamala Harris and Liz Cheney make very, very interesting partners,” Vance said, in front of an energized Arizona crowd. “They get rich when America’s sons and daughters go off to die. They get rich when America loses wars instead of winning wars. They get rich when America gets weaker in the world. We want American strength, American security, and most importantly peace. Let’s bring peace back to the world, and Donald Trump is the candidate to do it.”
