On the Italian island of Lampedusa, migrants have organized a daring escape while obstructing traffic and requesting permission to enter mainland Europe.

Not the smugglers,” The PM made reference to “operational partnerships on anti-smuggling” with transit and origin nations. “We will speed up the supply of equipment to the Tunisian coast guard,” stated von der Leyen in Lampedusa.

’’Things are getting very difficult in Lampedusa. That’s why we should help our Italian friends. But there should not be a message given to people coming on our soil that they are welcomed in our countries no matter what,” He mentioned that on Europe-1 radio in France.
