Gallant also confirmed that Israel’s military is ramping up its offensive posture against Tehran, launching retaliatory strikes with precision.
“The prime minister and I instructed the IDF to increase the intensity of the attacks against strategic targets in Iran and against government targets in Tehran in order to remove the threats against the State of Israel and undermine the regime of the ayatollahs.”
Defense officials also highlighted that the Iranian regime deliberately targets civilian sites, including hospitals and homes. The Iranian Supreme Leader, according to Israeli leaders, is hiding safely in bunkers while unleashing chaos on innocent people.
“The cowardly Iranian dictator sits deep within a fortified bunker and deliberately launches attacks toward hospitals and residential buildings in Israel,” Gallant added, per the Times of Israel.
National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir sounded the alarm about the potential horrors if Iran were to acquire a nuclear weapon.
“If the Nazis who launch missiles at hospitals, at the elderly and at children had atomic weapons, they would fire them in a heartbeat without even thinking. This is the most just campaign that Israel has ever embarked on in history,” he declared.
Ben Gvir’s warning underlines the fear that Iran, given the chance, would not hesitate to escalate from ballistic attacks to nuclear devastation. Thursday’s missile attack offers a terrifying preview of what a nuclear Iran might look like.

Israel’s Health Minister Uriel Buso also condemned the attack, calling it a terrorist act that crossed a “red line.”
“The missile fired at Soroka Medical Center is an act of terror and crosses a red line,” Buso said. “It is a war crime by the Iranian regime, deliberately targeting innocent civilians and medical teams dedicated to saving lives.”
Buso credited his ministry’s preparedness for preventing mass casualties, despite the missile strike.
“The Health Ministry was prepared in advance, and thanks to the immediate actions we took, a major disaster was averted.”
In addition to the hospital strike, CBS News reported that Iran launched a barrage of missiles at multiple targets across Israel, including Tel Aviv, injuring at least 65 people. This coordinated assault marks one of the boldest and most reckless escalations in Iran’s proxy war against the Jewish state.
